An optometrist is a doctor of optometry (O.D.) who performs eye exams, diagnoses and treats vision problems, eye diseases and related conditions, and prescribes eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications to treat eye disorders. They cannot perform surgery, but they can provide patients with pre- and post-surgical care.
Beaver patients can contact the Eye Department directly to book their regular eye exams. No referral is required from their primary care physician. In addition, the Eye Department has Optical Shops that offers glasses and contact lenses. Find out more about the Optical Shops.
Ophthalmologists are also available at Beaver Medical Group.
