Annual Enrollment period for choosing or switching your
Medicare plan is October 15th to December 7th. Some of
the reasons you can qualify to enroll at other times of the year: if you retire
and lose coverage, move to a new service area, or qualify for Extra Help/assistance
from the state. People who turn 65 are also able to enroll during the month of
their 65th birthday and the 3 months before and after.
Seniors on Medicare parts A&B are able to use their insurance at Beaver Medical Group. Beaver also accepts many Medicare plans including Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare PPOs and supplemental plans.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage plans are a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. If you're enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, most Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren't paid for under Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.

- Anthem Blue Cross - Select, Plus, Connections and Extra
- Blue Shield including 65 Plus and Choice Plans
- Health Net Senior including the Gold plan
- IEHP – available only for people on both Medi-Cal and Medicare
- United HealthCare (listed under AARP above)
- SCAN Health Plan

Extra Help for
If you are living on a fixed income you may qualify for
Extra Help paying for your prescription drug costs, monthly Part D premiums
and/or annual deductible. You may also qualify for a Medicare Savings Program
from the State for assistance with Part A and Part B costs. An agent can
