Recognize the signs of stroke and get treatment quickly

Strokes are largely treatable at the hospital, but every second counts. The faster you are treated for a stroke, the more likely you can recover without permanent disability. You can save a family member or friend from stroke by remembering the warning signs with Fast - "F" is for face dropping, "A" is for arm weakness, "S" is for speech difficulty and "T" is time to call 9-1-1. Anyone can have a stroke, but the risk increases with age. 3 out of 4 people who suffer their first strokes have high blood pressure.
