Description:

The Pharmacy Technician will, under the supervision of a pharmacist, utilize specialized pharmacy knowledge and expertise to provide integrated support to Beaver Medical Group clinicians and patients to enhance member satisfaction and access to quality care by supporting pharmacy wellness programs. The Pharmacy Technician role is comprised of differing types and levels of interactions with internal and external clients to provide them with appropriate and timely service and interventions. The Pharmacy Technician is a trained individual who provides high quality and cost effective initiatives to the site management team and supports the site operations team in the implementation and sustainment of the Practice Improvement Model. May be assigned special project or other assignments and work tasks that are generally within the scope and level of the position, and relative to the need for flexible Company operations.

Qualifications:
 

Education/Training

Minimum:  High School Diploma or equivalent, college courses desirable.

Preferred: Complete higher education coursework such as an associate’s degree in pharmacy technology, completing a course accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, or earning a degree from any pharmacy school accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. 

Experience

Minimum:  One year pharmacy technician experience.

Preferred:  Two years pharmacy technician experience.

Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of these positions.

Certification(s)

PTCB -submit a certified true copy of your certificate with the application form or qualify by submitting proof (form DD214) that you have been trained while in the federal armed services.
