Number of admits: 4-8/night (per
provider). Of this number, 1-4 is admits to the ICU (this is the total
per night-not per provider).
Nocturnist will also provide cross coverage,
for the inpatient service.
Code response, is not required (Rapid Team
responds to Codes)
ICU is a 12 bed Medical/Surgical unit
composed of private rooms, each with electrocardiogram and hemodynamic
ICU has three Intensivist Physicians
responsible for the ICU with a Medical Director available 24 hours per day,
7days per week for both clinical and administrative matters.
The ICU provides care to adult and geriatric
patients with a present or potential for, life-threatening medical or surgical
condition. ICU Nurses respond to all adult/geriatric cardiac arrest
within the hospital with the exception of the Surgery Department and the
Provider MUST BE
comfortable with Central Lines.
