Shifts rotate between three Beaver Urgent Care Centers: Redlands, Highland & Beaumont/Banning. Each UCC has: about 10 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 4 acute care beds, & 3-4 hydration beds; a full-service laboratory with one-hr. turnaround time; & digital X-ray units. Ultrasound exams are done at BMG offices in Redlands or Highland, at Redlands Community or San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, or at radiology office at Beaumont/Banning office Mon.-Fr. 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. CT or MRI scans are done at Redlands Community or San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, or at radiology office at Beaumont/Banning office Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
Office Schedule: Our Urgent Care Centers are open 365 days a year. Redlands 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM, Banning and Highland 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Each shift is staffed with either two physicians or one physician & a PA or Nurse Practitioner. Currently we have 14 physicians and 7 PA’s or Nurse Practitioners, for a total of 21 providers. Shifts are ten hours: 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. & 2 p.m. – midnight, rotating between the three facilities. One a.m. & one p.m. provider each day is “Doctor of the Day” reviewing labs & X-ray reports coming in from prior days. Typical patient load is variable, 24-36 pts./shift, 3-4/hour. Average shifts per week =4, average hours per week = 36. The provider schedule is maintained on-line, to facilitate efficient trading of shifts. There is no compensatory time-off given if you work on a holiday.
Masters degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification beyond a four-year college
Current California RN and NP and certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
Ability to speak medical Spanish would be a real plus, but not mandatory
