REDLANDS, CA, USA -- Betty Davis of Yucaipa, a 41-year Beaver Medical Group employee and the company's director of historical assets, owns 608 pieces of beaver-related memorabilia (not including duplicates) - setting the world record for the Largst collection of beaver-related memorabilia, according to World Records Academy (www.worldrecordsacademy.org).
The Guinness world record for the largest collection of Charlie's Angels memorabilia belongs to Jack Condon (USA), with 5,569 items.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest collection of Pokémon memorabilia, set by Lisa Courtney (UK), with 14,410 different items.
Davis began her collection in the 1970s when her father presented her with a beaver knickknack - a small tan statue that sits on a display case on the walls of her office.
Davis credits her friends, family members and co-workers for helping her collection grow, she said.
"Once you get a few items, and once you tell people what you collect, it just starts to grow," Davis said.
"It's very flattering, and it's nice to know that people think about me when they see this and wanting to bring me a little addition to the collection.
