Allergy and Immunology

An allergist-immunologist is a physician specially trained in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of immune system problems such as allergies, asthma, and immunodeficiency diseases.

Allergic reactions occur to environmental substances known as allergens. Strictly, allergy a hypersensitivity resulting in an extreme inflammatory response. Common allergic reactions include eczema, hives, hay fever, asthma, food allergies, and reactions to stinging insects. Immunology covers all aspects of the immune system in both health and disease including autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, and immune deficiency.

The Allergy and Immunology Department performs allergy skin testing and allergy antigen shots.

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 7:30 am - 11:40, 1:00 pm - 4:10 pm
Tuesdays:  9:00 am - 6:40 pm
Thursdays:  8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturdays*:  9:00 am - 12:00 pm
