Francesco D'Alessandro, MD
Attended medical school at Medical University of South Carolina in 2000 Residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Specializes in clinical disease dermatology including psoriasis, dermatomyositis, systemic lupus, acne and skin cancer. Board Certified, Dermatology 2004  Office located in Highland Before becoming a Dermatologist, Dr. D’Alessandro completed both a Doctoral Degree in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Clinical Microbiology and Virology at the University of Milan in his home country of Italy. He served two internships in Italy: one at the Microbiology and Virology Institute and one at the Laboratory of Clinical Microbiology. He then served as a research scientist at a cancer institute in Milan. In Maryland he worked for 10 years as a scientist dealing with tumor cell biology and biophysical pharmacology.
