H1N1 & Seasonal Flu Vaccine Available for Everyone!
December 17, 2009
Seasonal flu vaccine available to all patients (6 months and older)
You may make a flu clinic appointment at your local facility, or call centralized appointments at 909-335-4105. If you have an upcoming regular appointment with your physician, you will be offered the flu shot at that time.
The remaining doses of seasonal flu vaccine arrived at Beaver Medical Group on November 19, 2009. It had been delayed because vaccine manufacturers have been asked by the CDC to concentrate on production of the H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine for a few weeks.
H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine available to all patients (6 months and older)
Beaver Medical Group has both the injectable and nasal vaccine for H1N1. Many high risk people have been immunized, so Beaver Medical Group is now offering the H1N1 vaccine to all patients (adults and children) 6 months of age and older.
High risk people who have not yet been immunized should get their H1N1 vaccine as quickly as possible. They include:
- Pregnant women
- Children and young adults ages 6 months to 24 years
- People ages 25 to 64 years with certain health conditions
- Healthcare and emergency service personnel involved in direct patient care
- People who live with or care for infants less than 6 months of age
Both shots can be given at the same time.
Call (909) 335-4105 to make an appointment for your flu shot or just ask your doctor at any upcoming appointment.
