Profile:

As preventive care specialist, Dr. Medina provides a variety of health promotion and education services in lifestyle medicine for the Beaver Medical Group's Health Education Department.  He is an assistant clinical professor at Loma Linda University and an internship preceptor for California State University, San Bernardino.


Dr. Medina is active in community & national programs including:

  • Lecturer at Loma Linda University Schools of Public Health and School of Nursing
  • Speaker at a variety of community groups: Knights of the Round Table, Kiwanis, Women's Business groups, and other non-profits
  • Member of the City of Redlands' Healthy Redlands committee
  • Active member of the Desert Sierra Health Network, a network of public health professionals and non-profit agencies in the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
  • Involved with various non-profit groups promoting physical activity and nutrition, such as the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Public Health Association.
  • Children's Bible teacher and counselor of a youth group called Pathfinders
  • Board member and volunteer with KSGN 89.7, a non-profit radio station
